DESCRIPTION
The design process was an exploration into the abstract nature of objects and their embodied meaning. Objects are collected and curated across various spaces of our lives in pursuit of a sense of permanence and a sense of home. These spaces of assembly allow us to build and represent ourselves and to create a sense of belonging. These objects are what we share in our limited time on earth, for the medium of the object is constant, but the people will come and go. These objects, which are passed from one to another over time, are considered heirlooms, and through this sharing, they become part of a communal history. There is no telling what might become an heirloom, but it is clear that they are limited editions of the objects that we create.
